A collection of coordinated sound or sounds is referred to as music. Making music entails arranging sounds and tones in a specific order, often combining them to form a cohesive composition.

This book is actually a great introduction to the wonders of music.

I wasn't sure what to anticipate from this book. I'm not a huge fan of music biographies in general, but this one is different. It provides inspiring personal facts, but the main takeaway is a new understanding of what music is and a desire to learn more.


Once In A Lifetime was the soundtrack to all that was nice about being a growing adolescent in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and I've always been curious about how they got to that end product. Now I know and have some proof that my own songwriting and composing instincts weren't so crazy after all, so thank you David for confirming that for me.


Purchase this book. You'll come back to it at some point. This book is required reading for anyone interested in learning about music, and it should maybe be included in a conventional music curriculum.
